Farmers are looking to the past to find solutions to the climate crisis. A project by the University of Granada has restored ancient waterways in Sierra Nevada used over a thousand years ago. The water channels are more resistant to climate change than modern irrigation techniques, and allow for water to be stored underground to be used in the event of droughts.
