Sustainability Spotlight

Following the devastation of Kenya’s Chepalungu forest in 2007, the Kipsigis community set up conservation initiatives to restore the forest. During the pandemic, many villagers were unable to access healthcare, and the replanting helped them to acquire plants necessary for traditional medicines. Nature is a huge part of their culture, and the Kipsigis have now successfully replanted 90,000 trees.

Flying mail

Royal Mail has announced the creation of 50 new postal routes for drones. This initiative will help reduce the postal service’s carbon emissions and improve accessibility for residents of the UK’s islands.

Cosmic horror

Sagittarius A*, the black hole residing in the Milky Way, has finally been pictured for the first time. The black hole is four million times the mass of the Sun, and is the very centre of our galaxy.

The events network

Sapience client Live Group was recently featured in Smart Meetings, discussing the growing importance of Chief Strategy Officers in the events and communications industry. Stephen D. Pickett, newly appointed CSO, explores how the role will help to drive innovation in the sector post-pandemic and enable meaningful connections.
