Sustainability Spotlight
A senior advisor at the UN has recommended that seaweed should be rebranded as a vegetable. But, it’s not only good for the human body – seaweed could also be the key to cutting methane emissions from livestock. Research suggests that giving them a daily dose of seaweed would be the equivalent of stopping every car and truck on Earth.
Shipwreck discovery
A Royal Navy warship that sunk in 1682 has been identified off the coast of Norfolk. When disaster struck the ship in the 17th century, James Stuart was onboard. He survived and went on to become King James II of England and Ireland, and James VII of Scotland.
Mission to a comet
The European Space Agency has approved the construction of a small spacecraft designed to visit a comet on an orbit unthawed by the sun and untouched by the inner Solar System. This could provide new insights into the makeup of the early universe.
