Globally, 11,700 sq km of coral reefs have been lost over the past 10 years as a result of climate change. However, could growing coral on the foundations of offshore wind turbines be the solution to coral bleaching that occurs in shallower, warmer water? The foundations of wind turbines lie in much deeper water where the temperature is more stable and less vulnerable to ocean heatwaves.

Research has found that moon soil can convert carbon dioxide into oxygen, fuelling new hopes for supporting human life in space. Utilising what the moon has in abundance will make space missions less dependent on resources taken from Earth.
