One supermarket has become the first to launch a line of carbon-neutral eggs. The hens live off a soya-free diet, including insects fed on food waste from the supermarket’s bakery, fruit and vegetable sites. Cutting soya from a hen’s diet removes the emissions associated with deforestation to grow the crops for animal feed. The eggs are also the first to feature the British Lion Egg green stamp!
