Sustainability Spotlight

In 2021, renewable energy produced more electricity than coal for the first time ever. Wind and solar were the biggest drivers of clean energy, with Europe leading the way globally. However, last year also saw fossil fuel usage skyrocket to an all-time high. It is now more crucial than ever for businesses to accelerate the production of renewable energy.

Dig into the past

A robot dog named Spot is being used to explore the ruins of Pompeii. It’s the first technology of its kind developed for archaeological sites, and is helping to identify structural and safety issues. More excitingly, it’s also digging into tunnels used by grave robbers

This week in PR

Last week, Sapience attended the 7th annual Sustainability Week hosted by Economist Impact Events. Some of the highlights included discussions on improving urban spaces, making clean energy more accessible, and reducing the impact of the fashion industry.

Sapience’s favourite

A rare mountain bluebird named Rocky has been spotted on the East Coast of America – the first to be sighted in North Carolina since 1985. The bright blue creature has not been shy of humans and has made himself a popular figure in the state. Keep an eye out – your home could be the next stop on his travels!
