 A message from Richard

Spring has finally sprung in London, and we’ve certainly got a spring in our step here at Sapience. Winning new clients, designing fresh campaigns for existing clients and welcoming new team members have kept us busy.

Over the last month, we commenced work with a members’ club and hotel in leafy Teddington, which has hosted elite sports teams such as the All Blacks and Manchester United, and organised an insightful webinar for applicants to the Zayed Sustainability Prize. We also managed to squeeze in a few rounds of pool during our all-hands games night.

Ban Box Shifting

Shaylesh Patel, of the Ban Box Shifting campaign, wrote a letter to the Financial Times ahead of the Spring Budget, making the case for closing the ‘box shifting’ tax loophole to support local councils and communities. Following a year of campaigning, the Government finally made a change in legislation in this year’s Spring Budget.

Krispyhouse

We are thrilled to announce that our client kripsyhouse.com secured a fantastic appearance this month in leading tech publication TechRound, where CEO and founder Anthony Kyriacou discussed the rental market’s need for a tech upgrade. Congratulations to krispyhouse.com for this well-deserved recognition.

Zayed Spotlight

In March, we chaired a highly successful workshop on behalf of our client, The Zayed Sustainability Prize, the UAE’s pioneering global sustainability and humanitarian award.

This workshop chaired by Richard saw over 28 representatives from SMEs, NPOs, and high schools across India attend to hear about the benefits of participation from S4S Technologies, 2022 Prize winner in the Food category. Participants also engaged in an informative Q&A which included tips on how to craft a successful and compelling application to improve their chances of winning part of the US $5.9m fund which will be distributed across impactful, innovative and inspiring winners in the following categories: Health, Food, Water, Energy, Climate Action and Global High Schools.

Sapience games night

Last month, the Sapience team gathered in our office’s games room to eat, drink, and be merry. The team then faced off against one another in games of air hockey and pool. A great time was had by all!

Meet the team

Last month, Sapience was pleased to welcome new Senior Account Executive Alice Lim! Alice joins us with a wealth of experience across financial and professional services following a BA in Public Relations. Her expertise lies in media relations, thought leadership, and issues management.

Meet the client

Bespoke hotel and riverside leisure club, the Lensbury Hotel has joined our roster of clients. Specialising in conferences, team-building events, and large scale events, the Lensbury has made a name for itself playing host to stars on major sports days such as the Rugby World Cup.

AI IN PR

With more than 100 million active users in 2023, AI is beginning to redefine how businesses everywhere, and in particular, PR professionals, approach their workflow. While more than 50% of PR professionals have already integrated AI into their work, there is still uncertainty around its application. The most effective PR organisations will be those that apply AI sensitively to support their wider business objectives.

See below for our teams insights on how AI will redefine the work of PR professionals.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

This International Women’s Day, we shined the spotlight on the invaluable women on our team who have helped us get this far. Drawn from all types of backgrounds, interests and experiences, the Sapience team prides itself on fostering a diverse and equal team culture all year round, rather than just once a year. Diversity and equality are not just one-off contributions, but long-term moral commitments.

See below for our Instagram reel celebrating International Women’s Day!
