Objective
Sapience was tasked with providing widespread awareness and meaningful engagement for the launch of Squares Cubed, a multi-sensory digital art installation by British artist Hannah Nijsten at The Now Building, Outernet London. Our goal was to position Hannah as a pioneering contemporary artist and highlight the unique story behind her synaesthesia-driven work.
Activity
We developed a compelling press release that wove together Hannah’s personal journey, the science of synaesthesia, and the immersive nature of Squares Cubed. The narrative was crafted to resonate with both art aficionados and mainstream audiences. We conducted targeted outreach to key media across art, culture, and national press, leveraging relationships with journalists and producers to secure impactful coverage across platforms.
Outcome
The campaign achieved significant media traction. Coverage spanned national and trade outlets, including a feature on BBC Radio, write-ups in Art Plugged, and a prominent spotlight in the Evening Standard. This media presence positioned Hannah as a boundary-pushing digital artist and drove footfall to the exhibition, helping her bridge the gap between physical and digital art for a new audience.
